David grew up in Japan where the nameplate Toyota Crown meant something special – in fact, many kids looked up to families who own Crown models. The Crown cars in some ways were more special than the ultra expensive Toyota Century models, because only corporations owned those. David is known around the world as an authentic specialist of Lean/Agile Thinking, and travels all around the world to review vehicles and teach latest engineering methods. Born and raised in Japan, David has an engineering degree from University of British Columbia and post-graduate executive education from MIT and Harvard Business School in Boston.
